The Zermatt Bergbahnen takes the visitors comfortably from Zermatt up to the highest mountain station in Europe on 12’739 ft in 45 minutes only.
Since November 2018, the world’s highest 3S cableways, the Matterhorn glacier ride, is in operation. The Matterhorn glacier ride is an unrivalled combination of technology and design. Visitors will make a speedy ascent to Matterhorn glacier paradise in comfortable and luxuriously appointed cabins. The name says it all: the four “Crystal ride” cabins (at extra cost) are decorated with Swarovski® crystals, capturing the light in an effect that will amaze passengers and provide an unforgettable adrenaline rush.

The Matterhorn glacier paradise, with Europe’s highest mountain station is located at 3’883 metres above sea level (17’743 ft.).
The peak lift takes you up to the 360º viewing platform. The view from there is like in paradise.
You can see an incredible 38 four-thousand-metre (13’123 ft.) peaks and 14 glaciers (free of charge).
And a must-see at the peak is Zermatt’s glacier paradise: a real glacier palace (included in the ticket).
Up above, there is a cinema lounge (free of charge), fine cuisine at the peak restaurant (at extra cost) and a souvenier shop (at extra costs).
During the summer months, snow tubing is available (free of charge, only when conditions permit).
During 365 days a year you can enjoy the snow and ice at the Matterhorn glacier paradise.

Experience an unforgettable journey with Matterhorn views from the base station, via “Trockener Steg” at 2’939 metres (9’642 ft.), to the Matterhorn glacier paradise.
The station at Trockener Steg, has a very special meaning for visitors to the Matterhorn paradise. It is a pivotal point where different worlds meet and mingle. In summer the ski pistes end there and the hiking trails begin. Skiers and hikers cross paths. And the view reaches from Mattertal to the heights of the Matterhorn.
This point of your journey to the peak also hosts an Info Cube (free of charge) where you can find the newest information to ongoing projects. The current exhibition provides close insights into the “Alpine Crossing” – the new cable car connection opening in 2021, which will connect the Matterhorn Destination with Italy.
Along the way you can get off at the different cable car stations (Furi, Schwarzsee, Trockener Steg) to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and enjoy the views.
