Your unique food experience takes place in Marco’s restaurant, located in a beautiful 150-year-old building that is decorated in the shabby chic style. The dining tables are handmade from old doors on the property. The warm lighting and interesting décor make for great talking points throughout the evening! The restaurant is also very close to Mount Pilatus, a major tourist attraction in Lucerne. Marco feels that travelers don’t often get the opportunity to try local food while in Switzerland, so he is excited to share his cuisine with travelers.
During your two-hour, hands-on cooking class you will learn to make a few Swiss specialties with a trained pastry chef, who also loves to cook.
Itinerary
Join Marco in his professional kitchen, a space designed for teaching, to cook the dishes that you will be eating later. During your two-hour, hands-on cooking class help Marco prepare three dishes from scratch – a seasonal starter, a main and dessert. After your cooking class join Marco at the dining table to relish the dishes you helped prepare.
Learn about authentic Swiss cheese, chocolate and other local produce while enjoying a meal that includes a platter of local meats and cheese, salad, chnöpfli (fresh noodles or dumplings) for a main, and for dessert, Swiss chocolate cake with pink peppercorn.
